​​​This course covers all the foundation skills of pottery: wheel-throwing, trimming, slab building, coiling, handles, slip decoration, painting glazes, and dipping glazes.

 

The course includes: 

• All materials and firing (to stoneware temperature with food-safe glazes) and you will produce: four thrown pots and three hand-built pots

• Studio access outside the course for just £5 per hour (during Mon, Wed and Sat staffed hours)​

Afterwards ongoing membership is open to anyone who has completed a course​

Course Structure

Weeks 1-3: time split between wheel throwing and a a coil project

Weeks 4- 6: wheel trimming and slab built mugs

Weeks 7 & 8: dip glazing and painting glazes​​​
