8 week (16hr) Complete Introduction to Pottery
This course covers all the foundation skills of pottery: wheel-throwing, trimming, slab building, coiling, handles, slip decoration, painting glazes, and dipping glazes.
The course includes:

All materials and firing (to stoneware temperature with food-safe glazes) and you will produce: four thrown pots and three hand-built pots

Studio access outside the course for just £5 per hour (during Mon, Wed and Sat staffed hours)

Afterwards ongoing membership is open to anyone who has completed a course, you will start as a limited member and depending on availability 24/7 access membership may be available after 40hours of studio use.
Course Structure
Weeks 1-4: time split between wheel throwing and a slab built mugs, with glazing
Weeks 5- 7: wheel trimming, glazing and a coil project
Week 8: dip glazing and painting glazes

6.30- 8.30pm w.b. January 12th- w.b. March 2nd
It is usually possible to occasionally swap between days
3 payments of £110 taken over 3 months by direct debit
For the duration of the course you can access the studio for just £5 per hour outside class, during staffed hours (Mon & Wed 2.30- 8.30pm, Sat 10am- 2.30pm)
